Một con tàu bị mất liên lạc ở giữa biển khơi đội đặc nhiêm được phái tới đó bị tàn sát một cách dã man. lúc đó một nhân viên cứu hộ bãi biển tên là Tommy được phái tới đó với một nhiêm vụ là tìm hiểu con tàu và cứu những người còn sống sót. Nhưng khi tới con tàu thì anh mới biết mọi việc sẽ không suôn sẽ như anh vẫn tưởng.Xác chết có mặt ở khắp nơi các thủy thủ còn sống sót thì tấn công vào anh và còn một loại virus lạ khiến mọi người trở nên cuồng sat.
